Camping FAQ
How much does camping cost?
Camping fees are included with race registration for Friday and Saturday nights on a first-come-first serve basis.
How will camping be assigned?
The campground has limited space – please limit one vehicle per racer. Solo riders will be given priority for lower camp sites along the race route (2,3,&4 plus the overflow parking lot). Teams will be in the upper campground sites. Be prepared to make friends – campsites will be shared!
What if I have an RV or trailer?
All RV’s and trailers will be parked along the south side of the main entrance road just southeast of the race course (see image below).
Are there electrical hookups at the sites?
All Penitente Canyon campsites are primitive with no electrical hookups.
What if I have children with me?
Please let our camping coordinators know when you arrive. We have a designated area for family camping!
Can I bring my dog(s)?
Dogs are allowed but they MUST be well-behaved and on a leash at all times!
Can I have a fire?
Fires can be built in designated fire pits only, please bring your own firewood.
When can I check in?
Campsite check-In will be available beginning at 10:00am on Friday, October 12th.
Is there water available at Penitente Canyon?
The Penitente Canyon campground does not have any water options; we suggest bringing plenty of H2O to cover your water needs (drinking, cooking, and cleaning) for the weekend.
